It's so we can have direct access to God and have a relationship with Him! God wants to have a relationship with YOU!! We can now come close to God, whereas before Jesus' atonement for our sins NO ONE could go into God's presence except the high priest, and even then, it was ONE DAY A YEAR for the purpose of making atonement for himself and the Jewish people.
