December 23 Daily Reading- Read the Bible in 1 Year

John saw a scroll that was in God's hand. Only Jesus was found to be worthy to open the seven seals and read the scroll. In our discussion for daily application we will talk about how the Book of Revelation is all about Jesus and His second coming to earth. Today we read about how the angels and the leaders in heaven make Jesus the most important one. We need to be worshipping, praising, and making Jesus the most important one in OUR lives, too. As we learn about the big picture this year we have learned that our physical bodies and physical lives are not what is most important. Our eternal spiritual life is what is important. We take care of that eternal life by believing in Jesus, loving Him, obeying Him, and making Him the most important one, rather than ourselves, just as we see by John's vision is being done in heaven. Jesus taught us to pray what we call, "The Lord's Prayer." Part of that prayer says, "Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed by your name. Your kingdom come your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." May God's will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
