December 27 Daily Reading- Read the Bible in 1 Year

We will also look at Matthew 10:28-33 and Matthew 16:24-27 in relation to our reading today. Today we will read and compare the difference between worshipping an idol vs worshipping God, being marked with God's seal vs being marked with the seal of the world, and the difference between valuing physical life vs spiritual life. In each of these situations we see that one way leads to eternal death and the other to eternal life with promise of reward and rest. We will be reminded that we need to continue to worship God and follow Jesus, trusting in God, enduring difficult times even when it looks like evil is winning over good, because God's big picture tells us that He is still in control and we have won over sin, gaining us eternal life.  It may look like we have lost the battle, but in reality, we have won the war.
