Deja was born and raised in Michigan, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in 2016 and a Master of Public Health degree from Wayne State University in 2021. Deja is also a recent graduate of the Master of Divinity program at Princeton Theological Seminary, where she intersected her public health knowledge, her passion for homiletics, and her interest in womanist theology. In the future, Deja hopes to further her studies by pursuing a Ph.D. and continue her work as an associate pastor at her church. She has a passion for igniting the zeal for Christ within others by illuminating passages of scripture in unique and relevant ways.
