#25 DESIRE NOT Unless you give up the breath of your desires and die to yourself, you cannot have the breath of real life and live forever. You can own a world as long as you do not allow yourself to be owned by any part of it through attachment. Renunciation of desires does not mean asceticism or a negative attitude of life. Without avoiding contact with the different aspects of life, maintain complete detachment in the midst of intense activity. To have one eye glued on the enchanting pleasures of the flesh and with the other expect to see a spark of Eternal Bliss is not only impossible but the height of hypocrisy.
