Target, a well-known American retail corporation, has come under fire for its recent decision to sell Christmas ornaments that feature diverse families and Christmas traditions. While some have praised the company for its efforts to be more inclusive, others have expressed outrage, calling the ornaments "woke" and "anti-Christmas." The controversy began when Target released a line of Christmas ornaments that included images of Black Santa Clauses, same-sex couples, and Muslim families celebrating Christmas. Some customers took to social media to express their disapproval, using hashtags such as #BoycottTarget and #NotMyChristmas. "This is just another example of Target trying to shove its liberal agenda down our throats," said one angry customer on Twitter. "I'm done shopping at Target." Others defended Target's decision, arguing that the company is simply trying to reflect the diversity o Sun and Saddle Leather by Charles Badger Clark Loyal Books Cowboy Poetry began as a 19th Century Performance Art staged around a crackling campfire, referencing tall tales and personal stories, lost girlfriends, and love of the vast unboundaried West. The rhymed couplets were easy to remember, and once the day's drive was done, everybody had a few hours to listen to friends and wonder at the stars. Badger Clark gave voice and record to this unique American folk art, and built on it to express his own creative genius. He was declared the first Poet Laureate of South Dakota, or as he liked to say, “Poet Lariat.”
