DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT- An original poem by Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas

from Poesía con voz -Emiliano Martín- Podcasts

"Do not go Gentle into that Good Night” is an original and classic poem by Dylan Thomas, a Welsh poet of fame and well-deserved reputation who produced this wonderful poem in 1947 in response to his father's death. The poem is written in a Villanelle form (19 rhyming verses) while exhibiting the ability to pen down verses in a formal way. The poem was published in 1951, and since then, it has been considered a classic poem in the English-speaking World. It is used in academic institutions as one of the best poems of the 20th century. Emiliano Martín uses his voice for the great audience of “Poesia con Voz.” I appreciate your support and encourage you to subscribe to the program or click the heart symbol to show you enjoyed the audio.
