Dr. Gilbert began her career as an operating room nurse before earning her MD from St. George’s University in 2022. She is passionate about orthopaedic education, health policy, and advocacy, and shares her work widely through her growing social media presence (@gilbert.md.rn), where she blends medicine, storytelling, and accessible public health education.During this episode we talk about Dr. Gilbert’s journey into medicine, her experiences and challenges in residency, and how medical training impacts mental health.
