Doctor Who: The Missing Episodes Podcast - Episode 5 - Galaxy 4

from Doctor Who: The Missing Episodes Podcast · host Tim

All is not as it appears and evil can be found where you least expect it! Yes, BBC Enterprises' attitude to missing episodes back in the late 1970's wasn't the most helpful, as this episode’s guest explains.   First off, Paul and Tim review the largely missing Season 3 opener, while they dispute fan lore and ponder what this story is really about…   Then they’re joined by Jan Vincent-Rudzki for a look at the foundation of the Doctor Who Appreciation Society, his involvement with seminal documentary “Whose Doctor Who”, and his subsequent stewardship of just shy of 6 minutes of “Four Hundred Dawns”. Jan also obtained those oh-so-important 8mm snippets of monochrome Who and he provides fascinating insight into those early days of organised fandom and the dawning realisation that much of our beloved show had gone, perhaps forever.   So tune in your Chumbley and join us as we review “Galaxy 4”. It's a Rilly good listen!   If you enjoy this podcast, we'd love it if you shared it on social media to help us find our audience! Tim is on Twitter @drwhopodcasters, Paul @mrpaulmorris and please do come and like our Facebook page.   This free podcast borrows snippets of music from “Marche, Les Structures Sonores” – Lasry Baschet. Trundley noises are borrowed from the original broadcast of Galaxy 4.
