DOGE Audits The IRS

President Trump praised Elon Musk & his DOGE team on their efforts to cut wasteful spending within the federal government, saying about Musk, “He’s a leader; he gets it done.” The IRS is the latest agency dealing with proposed cuts to staff, following DOGE officials exploring government waste in the Education and Defense departments. The President acknowledged Congress will have to play a role in these budget decisions too. Today marks one month since President Donald Trump took office and since returning to the White House, he has made fighting illegal immigration one of his top priorities. While the administration is looking to deport illegal migrants from the US, there is also a push to not let them in. Border crossings are on pace to be the lowest in the last 25 years, with January 2025 seeing the lowest number of crossings in four years.
