Donegal Cllr criticises eight month waitlist for driving test

Learner drivers are now waiting up to 8 months to sit their driving test in south Donegal. Two new instructors were due to be drafted into the county to alleviate the waiting list but it’s claimed that the backlog has worsened. Fianna Fáil Cllr Michael Naughton says Cllrs can no long contact NDLS directly with queries and to make specific cases for people, which is hugely frustrating. He says many of those waiting are young people who need to travel to the likes of Sligo and Letterkenny for college and that the situation is very much at crisis point:
