Donegal Councillor expresses concern over cuts to local fire services

A Donegal Independent Councillor is warning that any cuts to Fire services resources could threaten the safety of the general public. The Donegal Firefighters are calling on elected public representatives to intervene immediately and for management to engage in meaningful discussions with unions. They claim a decision taken by senior management has seen a reduction in crew numbers along the removal of the second fire tender impacts the ability of fire personnel to tackle large-scale fires, road traffic collisions, and life-threatening emergencies. Donegal MD Independent Councillor, Jimmy Brogan is warning that the County must have adequate number of fire fighters to attend various emergences
