Donegal TD claims Sinn Fein front bench is an indicator of how they are prioritising Regional Development

The Sinn Fein Party Chief Whip says a quick glance at the front benches of his party and that of the government’s will give people in this region an indication of how the respective parties are prioritising the development of the North West region.  Two North West TDs will form part of Sinn Fein’s front bench spokespersons for the new Dáil term.  Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty has retained his role as Spokesperson for Finance, while Sligo-Leitrim Deputy Martin Kenny will remain the Spokesperson for Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and the Marine. In contrast no TD’s in the Sligo Leitrim, or Donegal Constituencies were afforded senior ministerial positions. Donegal Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn says there is strong local representation on the Sinn Fein front bench and he also expressed the view that current government might not run its full term.
