Get your free dream interpretation here:  https://lyndaanneartfulliving.wordpress.com/free-dream-interpretation/ Hello friends! Welcome back to Artful Living with Lynda Anne Thank you for joining the podcast. Today I want to talk about dreams. What are dreams and why do we have them. With 17 years of dream work mentoring and interpretation, I would like to share my insights and tools with you for exploring your own dreams, and help you build those skills. This will be a multiple part series. After a brief background in my spiritual and dream work development, we'll get biological, historical, and then we'll get spiritual. The spiritual part is where we will learn to develop dream interpretation skills. We'll cover techniques for remembering your dreams, then we'll explore types of dreams and how to interpret each type of dream. We'll address common symbols such as colors or numbers, and what they often mean. Then we'll learn what to do with your dreams once you've uncovered their meanings. And along the way, I'll leave you with some of the tools and resources that I most benefitted from in learning to interpret dreams. Before we get started, I just want to remind you that if you’re feeling anxious about a dream, don’t want to wait until you learn how to interpret, and would like your dream interpreted immediately, you can schedule an online appointment with me through LyndaAnne.art. From on the top menu bar, go to the ‘Consulting’ Page to find the link to book Consultations. Schedule your appointment now. OK So in todays podcast episode, we’re going to talk about my spiritual and dream work development, and what dreams are, biologically speaking. I started dreamwork over 17 years ago when I was going through a very lucid and vivid dream period. I was having nightly dreams that were causing me both confusion and excitement. I began to find my dream state more interesting than my awakened state. Thankfully, there was an abundance of useful and free resources to learn basic dream interpretation. About that time, I began my graduate studies at Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. My coursework included spiritual development and spiritual direction. During the two years of spiritual coursework, I further developed my dream interpretation skills. And I again solidified my skills in dream interpretation, over the next three years, along with grief and crisis counseling while completing my Master of Divinity. I found dream interpretation to benefit not only my own spiritual growth, but it brought great peace and understanding to my clients, family and friends. Now, with the advancements in online communication, I can offer my dream interpretation services to anyone, anywhere. Enough about me, what are dreams?  "Dreaming occurs during the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) cycle of sleep. During REM sleep, your eyes move quickly in different directions. Usually, REM sleep happens 90 minutes after you fall asleep. You tend to have intense dreams during this time as your brain is more active."
