Dot to dot. A new skill every day. In five minutes. Hey guys, today we are looking at a skill called Mindscape, and it looks really good.

You can get tips on dealing with specific sources of stress, do breathing exercises, and get some soothing sound escapes too. Let's give it a go, Alexa. Open Mindscape. Okay, here's Mindscape.

Hello and welcome back. I'm here to help. However, Mindscape is not a substitute for professional medical advice. So let's start with our breathing exercise.

Breathing in as I count to three, and breathing out as I count to four. Get ready to inhale for three counts. One, two, three, and hold. And exhale for one, two, three, and four.

Great. And a second time. Inhale for one, two, three, and hold. And exhale for one, two, three, and four.

I don't think it's before you want to go to sleep. Last time. Inhale for one, two, help. Mindscape is here to help you when you're feeling anxious, stressed, or experiencing a panic attack, through breathing techniques, helpful tips and soundscapes.

Through a guided analysis, talk about what's making you feel worried, whether that's work, student life, getting to sleep, or many of the other concerns we can all experience from time to time. Based on your answers, I'll offer you some expert tips on how to reduce anxiety. Every time you open Mindscape, you start with a short breathing exercise. But if you would like to work on moderating your breath with a longer exercise, just say, Alexa, breathe, at any time while we're talking.

At the end of the experience, you are asked to choose a soundscape to listen to. Once you selected one, the soundscape will play out, and Mindscape will automatically close. Would you like to do a breathing exercise, or start talking about how you feel? Start talking.

Okay, let's move on. To do the breathing exercise again at any time while we're talking, just say, Alexa, breathe. So now we get some specifics. So now we're going to talk together about how you're feeling.

I'll then create a soundscape for you to listen to and enjoy at the end. So let's get started. Is there something in particular that's worrying you, or perhaps making you feel stressed or anxious today? Work.

You told me you're worried about something to do with work. There are many things that can cause a stress in the workplace, but trying to identify what is causing you to worry is an important step. Is your workload causing you concern? Yes.

Try speaking about it with your colleague or manager. They may be able to make positive changes. Everyone needs help from time to time, so discuss setting realistic targets and see if there is a way to solve any problems you might be encountering. Give each task your full attention.

It often takes longer if you try and do too much at the same time. And be kind to yourself. Reward yourself for your achievements, and forgive yourself when you feel you've made a mistake. If you feel yourself becoming anxious, try breathing deeply, inhaling for three counts, holding, and then exhaling for four counts.

Would you like to improve your work-life balance? Stop. Thanks for using Mindscape. Well, guys, I feel bad that we bailed before the end of the questions, and then we didn't hear our tailored soundscape, but I didn't know how many questions there would be.

When we asked for help, she, at the beginning, said, welcome to Mindspace, not Mindscape, but at every other point, and the actual name of the skill is Mindscape, not Mindspace. So that's just a little typo there. So, yep, this is called Mindscape, and I think it's really good. Just imagine how many responses you could have had, potentially, to the source of stress that you're feeling.

And if she, if the skill has that same level of in-depth advice for all of those different sources of stress, then how brilliant is that? This is a fantastic tool. It does say it shouldn't be a substitute for talking to a proper professional. Anyway, there you go.

Hope it's about the way you are. Hope it will be helpful if, yeah, you've got to get something you want to get off your chest, and also do some breathing exercises, too. This is Robin signing off, and we'll speak again tomorrow. Feedback, comments, demos.
