Hey guys today, we are looking at a really good skill. It's called Remarkably Remote and it's from those guys at GoToMeeting, the remote working experts as it says in their skill description and it's basically a five minute top tip recorded message every weekday. Hello! Except open, remarkably remote.
We won't listen to it. Welcome to Remarkably Remote from the Experts at GoToMeeting. Each weekday, in just five minutes or less, we give you insider tips and tricks on how to make working from home work for you. Getting back to normal, as quarantine restrictions ease is going to be a slow process.
It's going to take a lot of patience, planning and thinking outside of what we consider the usual way of doing business. Your company is most likely already starting to talk about what the transition back to the office will look like, or notably what it won't look like, which is the way you left it earlier this year. For anyone who usually works out of an office but has been working from home since the pandemic began, a lot has changed since you left your desk. You might have even felt it in the air, literally.
With fewer people driving, there's less pollution. You likely saved a little money on gas or public transportation, and maybe, if you're not watching the news as much, you're a little less stressed. Your employer is determining how to reopen its offices and when that can take place. We've entered a new chapter of working remotely because many organizations and employees have proven they can do it.
A lot of businesses have learned through this pandemic that much of the workforce can stay productive while they're working from home. So will your position become permanently remote? It's possible if you are headed back to a traditional office setting in the next future. Stop.
So I think it's going to be full of really useful tips and information. Cool. There you go guys. Speaking tomorrow.
