A new scale every day. In five minutes. Hello again everybody, this is Contraproductive Brian from Across the Pot. Today, let's take a look at a skill that is based on a real-life solo card game called Desolate.
It's a sci-fi game and well, let's see if you like it. A **** open Desolate board game. Welcome to Desolate. To begin, say new game.
To learn how to play, say rules. Say help at any point during the game if you need help. New game. Starting a new game.
Reactor, offline. You need to find five power cells to bring it back online. Let me shuffle the cards. Alright, let's pick your items.
Choose your first item of the following. 1. Space Armor. Start the game with four extra health and health capacity.
2. Chameleon. Avoid a conflict. Forfeiting a crate.
Use once per game. 3. Extended Clip. Start the game with three extra ammo and ammo capacity.
Extended Clip. You picked up an Extended Clip and now have ten ammo. Lock and Load. Choose your second item from the following.
Space Armor or Chameleon. Space Armor. You picked up Space Armor and now have eighteen health. Bring it on aliens.
You are now ready to start exploring. You drew the armory. You can gain two ammo. You can play the current card or discard it and play the next card.
I'm going to skip this card in case the next one is the engineering card to give me a power cell. Discard. You enter combat with an alien that has seven health. Alien attacks you and deals two damage.
You now have sixteen out of eighteen health. You can fire or punch the enemy. Fire. Two.
You rolled six, four, and dealt ten damage. The alien is dead. Discarding Conflict card to open crate. You picked up large ammo.
You now have ten out of ten ammo. You picked up oxygen. You now have four out of four oxygen. You drew a Conflict card which will have at least seven health.
The reward is large crate. You can play the current card or discard it and play the next card. Discard. You enter combat with an alien that has seven health.
Alien attacks you and deals three damage. You now have thirteen out of eighteen health. You can fire or punch the enemy. Fire.
Two. Punch it with one damage. You rolled six, one, and dealt seven damage. The alien is dead.
Discarding Conflict card to open crate. You opened a small crate. Would you like to pick up small ammo or oxygen? Since I don't need any oxygen at the moment, we're going to rearm here.
Ammo. You picked up small ammo. You now have nine out of ten ammo. You drew the sick bay.
You can gain two health. You can play the current card or discard it and play the next card. Stop. Hopefully that gives you a little bit of a taste to see if you might like that scale or not.
The original board game was made by Jason Glover from Grand Gnome Games and programmed by Eartha Shashko, a friend of mine who is blind as well as I am, so that blind people can play it, and the original designer and company have not objected to it. So I hope you like it. Take care. Feedback, comments, demos.
