Dot to dot. A new skill every day. In five minutes. Hey guys, today we're looking at two skills that can help with stopping smoking.
This might not be you, maybe you know somebody else who is trying to stop smoking. But nevertheless, I think these are good skills to know about, just in case somebody somewhere needs to, and these might help. The first one is called Quit Smoking, and I think it's really good. I'll show you what I mean.
Hello, so open Quit Smoking. Okay, here's Quit Smoking. Hello and welcome to the Quit Smoking program. Please introduce yourself by saying, my name is, and then your name, and how many cigarettes you smoke a day.
My name is Bernard, and I smoke 40 cigarettes a day. Nice to meet you, Bernard. I've noted that you smoke 46 cigarettes a day. While you are spending about £10,074 a year on smoking, I can help.
Are you ready to launch the presentation and Quit program? Yes. That's fantastic. I'm going to give you some great reasons and support for your effort to give up.
Giving up smoking is hard, and you will need all power to fight your addiction. I'll give you daily support messages, hints and stories from smokers who don't smoke to help. Please accept that you will be emotional, tetchy, and illogical during this program. You may try to manufacture reasons to start again, such as too much stress.
That is the addiction beast fighting back. You need to recognize that and tackle it head on. Choose today as your first day to stop and tell yourself that you'll never light up again. Chuck out all your cigarettes and rid yourself of ashtrays, lighters, etc., and do not have any more cigarettes.
Please come back and talk to me when you need to every day, for encouragement and to check on progress. Stick with me for the 28 days of the program and we can do this. Say more, if you want additional support today, or stop to close our session and I will see you tomorrow. More.
To smoke you have to take out a cigarette and light it. That is a physical thing, so you can just not do it. Sounds simple but you're addicted to part of you will try and make you do it. Recognize that and fight it head on.
Say stop to close our session, or more to hear another item. Stop. Goodbye. See you soon and remember you can do this.
Hey, powerful, powerful stuff. Really good. Okay, that's that one. It's called Quit Smoking.
There's a couple in the skill store that are called that, so hopefully you'll get that one. The next one actually is called Hypnosis Quit Smoking, and I think you can open it actually by just saying Quit Smoking as well. So whichever of these sound better for you, maybe you'll just enable one of them, or you can always open this one with Hypnosis Quit Smoking. Alexa, open Hypnosis Quit Smoking.
Welcome back to another self-hypnosis session to control your impulse to smoke. Remember, you can repeat this exercise as many times as you like. Before we begin, please answer one question. Have you smoked since the last time you tried this self-hypnosis exercise?
Yes. Let's just say. This is a new chance to learn to respect and protect your body from cigarette smoke. Next time you have a craving, find a quiet private space and practice this exercise.
Now please follow along with me to enter a comfortable state of self-hypnosis. When I say one, you'll do one thing, look up. On two, you'll do two things. Slowly close your eyes and take a deep breath.
And on three, you'll do three things. Let your breath out, let your eyes relax, but keep them closed, and let your body float. Ready? On one, look up.
Two, slowly close your eyes and take a deep breath in. Three, let your breath out, let your eyes relax, but keep them closed, and let your body float. Now let one hand or the other float up in the air like a balloon. Oh, yeah.
Is your hand floating up in the air? Yeah. Stop. Thank you for using this skill.
Try it again the next time you have an urge to smoke. I just put my hand down. Wow, there you go. These have got to help, guys, don't you think?
Anyway, I hope they do. If it's you that need some help or recommend it to your friends, this is Robin signing off, and good luck. We'll speak in tomorrow. No, wait, don't go.
