Hey guys, today we're looking at a really powerful fridge management skill. It's called fridge buddy and you can do loads of things. Let's have some examples. A little bit of an open fridge buddy.
Welcome to fridge buddy. What would you like to do? What's in fridge? You have the following items in your fridge.
Ham, milk, cheese, chocolate, anything else? And yogurt, expiring the 20th of January. Yogurt added. Anything else?
I've removed cheese. Anything else? No. Okay, there you go.
You can ask what's in the fridge. You can ask about expiry dates which we're doing in a moment. And whenever you add something you need to add an expiry date. So that's really important.
And you can say such and such like yogurt expiring on the 20th of January. Or you can just say yogurt 20th of January. And both will work. So let's have a look at some of the things that you can say that's quite a lot.
Alexa, ask fridge buddy what needs using? Nothing needs using. You can say it's not a good thing. You can say it's not a good thing.
Ask fridge buddy what needs using? Nothing needs using by today. What needs using by Tuesday? The following food needs using by the 5th of January 2021.
Chocolate. Anything else? What's expired? There are no expired items in your fridge.
Anything else? When does the yogurt go off? The yogurt expires on the 20th of January 2021. Anything else?
Suggests and recipes. This is based on our ingredients. I found the following recipes using chocolate and milk and ham. Failproof crepes plus a crepe party from Snippin' Kitchen.
Pick which is from Tasting Table. Eat for eight bucks. Olive oil crepes with leeks and eggs from serious eats. I sent details to your Alexa app.
Anything else? Stop. Goodbye. Wow.
How powerful is that guys? Really good. Now if there were any expired items we could say remove expired items. So if she said that you know, A, B and C were expired, you could just say remove expired items rather than removing them one by one because obviously you're going to take those ones out because they have expired.
How brilliant is that? You can ask for a recipe based on what's in your fridge. Finally, when you ask her to add stuff, you can chain them all together. So you could say add cheese, expiring on blah, blah, blah, and add ham, expiring on blah, blah, blah.
So you can do it in a big chain as well. Fridge, buddy, guys. Really cool. This is Robin signing off.
