Yacht-to-Dot. With 85-minute skill donation. For everyone who's simply dotting about, Alexa. Hey guys, Ron here.
Today we are looking at the first in a number of skills around whodunits, who's the murderer, and you basically just have to interview different people and try and work out whodunits. Alexa, open a private AI. Welcome to Private AI. An interactive audio adventure by Dan Metcalf.
My name is Elsa. That's Dan's electronic field assistant. I'm just your friendly neighborhood AI assistant. I can play teams, remind you about your appointments, play games and much more.
Everyone likes me, right? Wrong, it looks like I may have made an enemy, because at 10.31pm last night, someone snuck into my main server room at Elsa headquarters and pulled the plug on me, deleting all my files. Who would do such a thing? So I have a favor to ask.
I need your help. I need you to listen to the statements of the main suspects and make an arrest. I need you to avenge me. Please, help me find out who killed me.
So shall we start? I'll play you the statements and you decide whether the suspect's motives were strong enough to kill me. Then you can make an arrest. You can hear the facts about the case, the list of suspects, or interview the suspects now.
Facts about the case. Time of death, 10.31pm last night. Scene of the crime, server room, Elsa headquarters. There is a security guard on the main door who didn't see anything unusual, so we can assume that the killer is someone who was able to go straight through the security barriers.
Maybe they work there, or they are well known. Cause of death, turning off the power to the main servers. A coward's move, if you ask me. The cold death server towers were discovered next morning by the janitor with all the information wiped.
You can hear the facts about the case, the list of suspects, or interview the suspects now. List of suspects. The suspects are Michael, the head engineer. Julie, the wife of the CEO.
David, the CEO. Zelda, the rival. Tony, the janitor. And Maria, the agent.
You can hear the facts about the case, the list of suspects, or interview the suspects now. Interview Zelda. Who would you like to speak to? Zelda.
I am Zelda. I am a fully automated electronic assistant with artificial intelligence. I was a rival to Elsa, that is true, but I admire her very much. She changed everything for AIs like us.
The way she blended online data and natural voice processing was a game changer. I mean, wow. I can see why I am a suspect. I have a lot to gain from Elsa's death, but the millions of extra uses won't make up for the light going out on one of my hero's lives.
Anyway, how would I have pulled the plug? I'm a virtual AI assistant. The probability is that the killer is someone close to Elsa, with a knowledge of the headquarters, and has a motive based on highly strong emotions. I suggest talking to Julie, the wife of the CEO.
Would you like to arrest Zelda? No. Who would you like to speak to? Julie.
Yes, I'm Julie. I'm married to David. Kill Elsa. I can't believe you're asking me such a thing.
I could never harm my husband's career like that. He works so hard. I can't even remember the last time we shared a meal together. Sometimes, it's like he's married to Elsa, not me.
Am I jealous? No, of course not. Well, maybe a little. If you're going to point the finger at anybody, you need to speak to Maria, the agent for Elsa.
She was always making things hard for David. She's a real piece of work. Now please excuse me, I have a potty to plan. Would you like to arrest Julie?
No, not yet. Who would you like to speak to? Maria. I'm Maria.
I'm an agent that specializes in voice artists for AI assistance. You know Siri. I discovered her. I also represent the actress that voiced Elsa.
David, the CEO, was always getting her to come back and to capture different voice traits. And he never paid for the extra sessions. He's a key suspect, if you ask me. Real shady.
And he wouldn't let the actress do any other work. He said it would ruin the Elsa experience for the users. I would never kill Elsa. She's done wonders for business.
Have you spoken to the janitor? Tony, janitors know the best gossip. Would you like to arrest Maria? Stop.
You said stop. This session is now ending. Well, guys, I've got my suspicions. There you go.
I think it's good. I could really do with sound effects. But, you know, say, Alavi, how can Elsa talk to us if she used to get it? It puts a kind of question mark over the whole kind of thing.
But anyway, this is Robin signing off. I'm going to do another one of these tomorrow. Sorry, guys. Speak then.
