Today we are looking at another fab skill by those guys at Bokala. It's called Happy Place Kids, and it's with Fern Cotton, who I think is a TV celebrity, maybe on children's TV over here in the UK. Not sure. I'm so sorry, Fern.

But they're really good. They're sort of three-minute meditation, exercises, and each one's a little gem. Alexa, open Happy Place Kids. Hi, it's lovely to be with you again.

It's Fern here, ready for your relaxation. This relaxation will prepare your mind and body for the day ahead. I will guide you through this relaxation to help you feel relaxed and calm. We'll work together to release tension in the body and get into a positive headspace.

Make sure you're comfortable either lying down or sitting in a relaxed pose. Are you ready to begin? Yes. Take a deep breath in and a big breath out.

As you do this, let all of your limbs flop and relax. Now imagine you're sitting on a beautiful beach. The sand beneath you is so soft on your skin. Can you see any shells?

Imagine all of their patterns and shapes. There's a warm breeze on your skin, and the sea in front of you is so blue. What can you see in the sky? Are there birds flying overhead?

Are there any small fluffy clouds? Or is it a completely blue sky? It's totally up to you. There is no wrong or right.

Now imagine the sea in front of you. There are very gentle waves, and each time the water rolls into the shore, it touches your toes and feels so cool and calming. Imagine all of the beautiful sea life below the sea surface. Maybe there are tiny dancing silver fish darting about.

Maybe there are crabs with bright orange shells. Now take a deep, slow breath in. Imagine all of that lovely, fresh sea air filling your lungs. As you breathe out, imagine pushing all of that air out of your lungs towards the sea.

Your breath is so powerful that you create a wave with your exhale. The sea rolls away from you in the shape of a gentle wave. I feel like a canoe. As you breathe in again, you watch the sea slowly and calmly roll back towards you.

It touches your toes and feels so cool. You take another deep breath in, and this time fill up your lungs and tummy, whilst keeping your body totally relaxed. When you can't breathe in anymore, let the breath out, and push the air gently towards the sea again. This time you create an even bigger wave.

The water moves away from you, and you see another wave on the horizon. This calm, beautiful wave starts to move towards you again as you take another breath in. As the sea reaches your toes, you see some new, different shells have been washed up beside you. There are also some new, interesting pebbles.

You look down at the collection of pebbles and shells, and you pick your favourite one as your breath goes back to a regular pace. Which shell or pebble have you chosen? What does it look like? What does it feel like in your hand?

Green sea glass. Make a wish on the chosen shell or pebble. Squeeze its cool surface in your hands, and then throw it back into the sea. Now take a moment to enjoy the warm air on your skin, and the soft sand beneath your body.

Take one last deep breath in, and big breath out, with all your fingers and toes, and then slowly open your eyes. That's the end. Sorry about that. Hope you enjoyed that relaxation.

Yeah, so I've opened this twice before starting recording, and the first time was in a beautiful field, and you're walking across the luxuriant grass, I think in your bare feet, and then you see this enormous balloon in the distance with stripes, red and yellow vertical stripes, and as you get closer, it turns out to be a hot air balloon, and you get inside, and there's room for your favourite friend or family member to come with you, and you're probably going to go up in the air and throw out all your worries. That's usually what a hot air balloon mental exercise is about. And then the next one was you're in front of a beautiful lake, and I didn't hear much further than that. So yeah, they're all different, and they're all perfectly formed gems, I think.

In case you're wondering what sea glass is, there's a lot of it in the north-east of England, because there are a lot of bottle-making factories around there, and all the misformed ones, all the cast-offs, were thrown into the sea. That's what I used to do in those days. And millions of beautifully smooth pebbles of glass of different colours, clear, green, blue, red, brown, are all over the sand. Well, not all over, because a lot of people have taken tons of them home, but yeah, there's a lot of sea glass to be had around there.
