As one of his companions, you get to choose how the adventure unfolds by selecting the path to take. Periodically, you will be asked for which direction to go. Just reply with the appropriate prompt to make your choice. For example, to take the southern path, you would say, go south.
That's it. Have fun and happy adventures. Are you ready to begin? Yes.
Say yes to it, and we'll be on our way. Yes. Bambassa, a small coastal town rife with devilry, dysentery, and danger. A perfect outpost from which to embark on a creative venture.
Captain Stalwart, a veteran of the war, leads his companions through the bustling streets. Children run and play amongst the market stalls while locals shop and laugh under the early morning sun. Professor Reynolds, a renowned anthropologist and historian, is deep in discussion with his beautiful and intelligent daughter, Anne. They're remarking on the fourth member of their team, Little Timmy.
An orphan, Little Timmy has been a constant and true friend of the captain and has followed him around the world in search of adventure. Let's join these brave explorers now as they begin their quest. That's right, Little Timmy. It will rip your arm right out of its socket.
And here we are. Bambassa. Really? That's an awful story to tell a young boy.
Aw, it's all right, Anne. Gee, Bambassa sure is busy. Where should we go first? Personally, I'd like to see what's for sale at the marketplace.
With my weary bones, we'd like to see the hotel first. Both sound good. We'll need supplies and plenty of rest before we set off on a journey brought with peril and hardship. All righty.
Should we go west of the market or east of the hotel? West. Colors, smells, people, and animals all collide to form the thriving main square of Bombasa. Children play in the central fountain as dogs seek shade in the late morning heat.
Ahead, the street widens to reveal colorful market stalls. Their wear is displayed for the world to see. Ivory, excite fruits, and rare spices assault your senses as our hearty band makes their way through the marketplace. This market is amazing.
Everything a girl could ever want. That's right, Anne. Goods from all over Central Africa funnel through Bombassa out to the rest of the world. But we only need the essentials.
Food, camping gear, food. I think you get an idea, guys. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to speak with some of the locals about their lost temple. Hey, we're going to get a soda around here.
Oh, Jimmy, you little scamp. Here's a dime. Go see what trouble you can buy. Now, let's gather supplies and then plan our next move.
Cheesy. I think I'll leave it there, guys. Interesting. The people I spoke with seem very frightened.
Stop. Oh, I think we stopped this before. A key bit of information there. Very frightened about something.
As you heard, though, I'm going to have to go. I'll play the table because dinner in five. Brilliant. Thanks, guys.
