God has given us the tools to manage our emotions. But one of the greatest enemies to managing our emotions is EXCUSES. "That is the way I am"  Ephesians 4:26 Anger is a natural feeling is not necessarily bad; it is what you do with it that determines. Emotions can be very intoxicating, so you need the word of God; which has the power to override any negative emotions. Romans 12:17  Never repay anyone evil for evil. Take thought for what is right and gracious and proper in the sight of everyone. New Living Translation Jeremiah 51:57  I will make her officials and wise men drunk, along with her captains, officers, and warriors. They will fall asleep and never wake up again!” says the King, whose name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Romans 12:19-20 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge;     I will pay them back,”     says the Lord... Unforgiveness is also a form of unbelief. Forgiveness is a sign that you believe God will fight for you. Another reason God wants to forgive is compensation.  Romans 12:20 When you holding on to offense it is like keeping the offender behind bars and watching over them, but you both are prisoners standing on either side. When someone offends you what you should want is not punishment but compensation. #Emotions #Dccmidweekservice
