Adriana es esposa de Luis Fernando Arroyabe, soldado retirado del Ejército quien sobrevivió a la Batalla de Dabeiba, en Antioquia, ocurrida el 19 de octubre del 2000. Desde entonces, Adriana ha sido, como ella misma se denomina, su psicóloga: "todavía despierta asustado. Todos los días le pregunto ¿qué soñaste? Y él me cuenta sobre sus compañeros y que todavía está en el área de combate. Tiene crisis de pánico. A veces se pone furioso por cualquier cosa y empieza a gritar. Yo rezo el rosario y el padre nuestro. Todos los 19 de julio vamos al cementerio Campos de Paz para visitar los 57 nombres de los compañeros que murieron y están en una placa de mármol".Actualmente, Adriana lidera el grupo de mujeres esposas, hermanas, madres e hijas de militares que han tenido que soportar su misma situación.
