The first milestone I had my heart set on for my kids faith life was wanting them to ask Jesus into their hearts. Scripture says if we believe with our hearts and confess with our mouths we are saved! I didn't just want them to choose Jesus because of what they could get from him though. I wanted to help them fall in love and change their lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. To accomplish this we couldn't just stop at the cross knowing our sins are covered but we had to have a full understanding of salvation. It's our job as moms to help them see the full picture and so they can be refined by the truth of the Gospel message. Read the book of John, explore and have fun as God leads you through His word.  -Scripture meditation recommendations: Romans 6:23, 1 Peter 3:18, Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 2:38.  -Below was my own personal prayer that I daily prayed for my children. I encourage you to spend time with the Father to craft your own. Be sure to write the date at the top and then revisit it when that prayer is answered! 🙂  -Heavenly Father, I pray that my children would receive the gift of salvation at a young age. I pray that they would hear your voice and establish a relationship with you and be willing to stand alone proclaiming the good news. That they wouldn't waiver under the pressure of their peers and compromise their faithfulness for temporary approval. I pray that they would be strong and courageous walking in confidence that the Lord their God is with them wherever they go. In Jesus name, amen. Truth Encounter: The Last Week - Rejected in Jerusalem Podcast After hard frosts and heavy snows, finally March Madness begins. It brings not only the best show in basketball, but Easter lilies in Wal-Mart and beautiful new dresses on racks for moms to buy for their little girls. It’s the triumph of warmth over cold, of tulip blossoms over ugly bulbs, but most of all it’s the time when more than 2 billion Christians across the globe look back to the events of Passion Week, the Last Week, the time when Jesus was rejected in Jerusalem. . His Last Week on earth began with shouts, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” It ended with “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” How could this week in a land hardly the size of New Jersey where a peasant was crucified like thousands of other Jews by the Romans be the climax of all of history?
