Are goals for losers?

Scott Adam's says so and today, we are going to discuss some of his wisdom from his book How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still WIN BIG.

Following the theme of our last episode, we have to decide what it is that we want to work on in our life.

Once we decide on what the one thing is that we want to work towards and we get clear on the path that we will take…

It's time to start paying the price.

Adams tell us that there is a way for us to make the price of having the things that we want cost less.

His suggestion? Systems.

Scott argues that goals are always in a far-off place that we may never get to but if we have a system in place then we are constantly winning.

Wanting to lose 20 pounds is a goal and eating right is a system that we can put in place to achieve that goal. See the difference?

You can't 'do' a goal on a regular basis but you can do a system on a regular basis. This is the key that most people miss and the reason why a majority of people fail at things like their New Year's Resolutions.

The great words of John Maxwell echoes this when he said, 'Systems are good strategies repeated.'
