Milena es economista y MSc en Estadística de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y en Economía de la Universidad de Essex y PhD en Economía de la Universidad de Essex, es profesora y directora de la Escuela de Economía de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
