In episode 6 of Diary of an Average Joe, Elliot Fabian shares his experience of growing up as a young gay man during the era of Section 28, a law that silenced LGBTQ+ conversations in schools. From early childhood moments to navigating teenage years amidst societal stigma and the AIDS crisis, Elliot highlights the challenges of growing up without representation or support.   Elliot reflects on finding his first “tribe” of supportive friends and how those experiences shaped him.
