Employment: Retained EU Law bill & EU pay transparency directive

One of the biggest potential disruptions on the horizon for HR, Heads of People and Employment Lawyers in 2023 could be the changes arising from the Retained EU Law Bill. Retained EU law is a distinct category of UK law which was created by the EU Withdrawal Act at the end of the Brexit transition period, based on the EU and EU-derived law that applied to the UK at that time. If enacted in its current form the Bill could radically reshape UK employment law and might remove long-established employment rights and protections.
