Empowered Self-Care: The True Path to Lasting Wellness with Donya Fahmy

from Break Free to Brilliance with Seema Giri · host Seema Giri

“Your health is not a one-size-fits-all prescription,” says Donya Fahmy, sustainable wellness success mentor and co-author of Break Free to Health and Vitality. After struggling with chronic illnesses for years, Donya decided to take her health into her own hands. It wasn’t until she began to experiment with natural remedies that she finally began to experience results that traditional medicine wasn’t providing. Donya’s personal experience inspired her to help other women strengthen their immunity through customized natural solutions. Donya joins us on today’s Author Series episode to discuss her personal journey to empowered self-care and how she imparts this wisdom to others. According to Donya, the key to sustainable health is reducing stress and exposure to toxins. Even though we live in an increasingly toxic world, one way to minimize contact with chemicals is to control what you eat. Rather than consuming high levels of pesticides, GMOs, antibiotics, hormones and other toxic ingredients, Donya suggests adding more oxidatively stable oils such as coconut and olive oil to your diet. Recognizing and managing the amount of toxic abuse is the framework for building and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Taking control of your health isn’t as hard as it seems. Tune into this week’s episode of Break Free to Resilience to learn more about how holistic medicine has the power to alleviate stress, reduce exposure to toxins, and improve the overall quality of your wellness.
