Men and women are neither just masculine nor feminine beings. All men and women are a balance of both. Today finds us seeking to make sense of ourselves and the world around us by having to unlearn or look past a history of immaturity and ignorance. Personally, I believe one of the greatest lies we are told growing up is that there is ‘no room for emotions’, most commonly in the workplace. We are sentient beings; we have been programmed to feel emotions since we were conceived. The promoting of emotions as irrational needs to stop, because it is actually impossible. And to suppress emotions, like avoiding the Ego, is to cause a split in the self. Men naturally embody the Yan energy and traits. The feminine within needs to be consulted and expressed, now more than ever. Otherwise, the result is unchecked and inconsiderate violation of life - from judgemental comments between partners to erupting of World War. The overuse of masculinity isn’t working any more. The world is realising it never did. Let’s correct the balance in ourselves. For to have balance, you need to BE balanced, and whole.
