“English Translation of SONATINA by ALAN STEINLE”

“SONATINA” (LA PRINCESA ESTA TRISTE) is a classic Spanish language poem by Ruben Dario, translated by Alan Steinle, the verses are read by Emiliano Martín This fine translation from Spanish into English was accomplished by the American poet and translator Alan Steinle. He has arranged the verses with every third syllable stressed, but starting with the second (2, 5, 8, 11). He underlined the stressed syllables in the first few lines.
