Gerry Nagtzaam Ba, LLB, M Env Sci, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law at Monash University. His research focuses on the intersections between environmental law, politics, history and economics. He has written numerous articles and book chapters on international environmental treaties focusing on biodiversity loss, climate negotiations and plastic pollution regulation.  He has also published a number of well received books on topics including international environmental treaties and their normative treatment; nuclear waste disposal in democratic states; on the phenomenon of ecoterrorism; global plastic pollution regulation and forthcoming books on climate justice and the International Whaling Commission. In this podcast, we explore his journey in research and academia, his work in the environmental law sector and areas of the environmental law he is passionate in.
