I am the bass singer for a quartet called the Kellys from Lawrenceburg. We record all of our cds in the PleasantSide Studio, and have done so for many years. The Americana Music Triangle is near and dear to my heart since I have lived in 3 of the Triangle’s towns. I grew up in the Shoals area around Florence, AL. I lived for many years in Lawrenceburg, TN, the birthplace of Southern Gospel music, and for the past 20 years have taught here at Mt. Pleasant Middle School, which is also a town in the Americana Music Triangle. It seems as though my entire life has been centered around the music from the Americana Music Triangle. Here is a song recorded at PleasantSide Studio by the Kellys.Music: Rocky Top by the Osborne brothers was recorded at Bradley’s Barn in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. It was recorded on November 16 1967.
