Ep 029: SSG Diana Soriano - U.S. Army Veteran

Diana joined the United States Army (USA) in 2008 and served as part of the Adjutant General’s (AG) Corps for 10 years, reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant.In this episode Diana talks about joining the Army, what training was like, and the build up to deploying to Afghanistan within her first year. She also talks about her fiancé, who was also deployed to Afghanistan, but was sadly killed in action (KIA).Diana also describes her feelings and emotions after loosing her fiancé during the deployment to Afghanistan, plus what it was like returning home after such a loss. She explains the other duty stations throughout her career which included South Korea and Hawaii.
