In this week’s podcast, Justin discusses the serious blinders that get put up when we try to argue that one side of the left-right political spectrum is described as the essential root of radicalism and political violence, arguing instead that ideology and philosophy is merely a pretext for unleashing the crooked timber of humanity and the evil that exists in all of our hearts that only be held at bay through solid commitment to enduring values and principles. He also addresses the violent targeting of members of his own religious faith and the painful anti-Mormon prejudice that followed quickly thereafter, arguing that doctrines and theology are important but should come second after embracing each other in Christian fellowship.
