Ep 2: Sewing, Weaving, and Crochet (with my Mom!)

from My Far North Cabin: Off Grid Homesteading Talk from Rural Alaska · host Natalie Spooner

In this episode, I am proud to present an interview with my mother, Corrie, and we discuss why sewing, crochet, and being able to mend your own clothes are such valuable homesteading skills! She started doing all of these a long time ago, and I'm so pleased to have had her on the show to share her passion & insight. She creates her own garments, adores utilitarian qualities in clothing, as well as being avid about the history of clothing & textiles/fiber arts. She is a long time crocheter and seamstress, and even taught herself to weave and to spin her own yarn!  Hope you enjoy the show, follow the official Instagram account for all updates & to leave feedback, and if you can contribute to the show by donating on Patreon!
