Attorney Joyce Parker is over the day-to-day grind of representing criminals at her law firm, so when she finally decides to quit and start a new chapter in her life, she isn’t expecting it to be her last day alive. After arriving in Eden (a mid-point to the afterlife) and making a deal to gain her ticket to heaven by representing Aiden Kim, aka the Grim Reaper, she finds herself wrapped up trying to solve the mystery of who’s behind all the strange things happening in Eden, proving her client’s innocence and a looking absolutely fabulous while doing it.  Aiden Kim is a no-nonsense, play by the rule’s Grim Reaper. His utter devotion to his job helped him to move quickly through the ranks to become a supervisor in the reaper department at Eden. But when the wrong soul gets taken, everything he’s worked for is in jeopardy. So, he recruits Joyce to help clear his name. If only they could stop arguing long enough to work together.
