Ep. 25:Brent Achord...Coaching with a Greater Purpose

Today, I am excited to introduce you to a remarkable individual and friend, West Monroe Rebels Pitching Coach, Brent Achord. In our time together, Brent generously shares his profound journey - a journey marked by battles with identity, struggles with addiction, and ultimately, a powerful transformation illuminated by the Light of Jesus Christ. Brent’s story is not one of immediate transformation, it is more of a story of persistence in the middle of some of his darkest moments in life. Through continued discipleship for over 4 years Brent surrendered his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and would later answer God's call to lead the very same young men he was coaching, in discipleship. Through his experiences, he imparts invaluable lessons, revealing who Jesus is to him and how this revelation guides his every step. Brent's redemption story is nothing short of inspiring. God has used his scars by transforming them into instruments of guidance for these young men, as they navigate their own daily walks with Jesus. Indeed, Brent's passion for Christ and baseball converge beautifully, embodying a profound form of coaching - one that extends far beyond the game itself.
