More from Lindsey: I have currently been in Girl Scouts for 13 years, which has been the quite the journey for me. When I was younger, my mom put me in the troop at my school to make friends, learn new skills, and have fun. Truthfully, for the majority of the time, I liked it, but I didn't love it. Up until my freshman year of high school, I had transferred troops a few times because mine didn't always have enough members to carry on. From freshman year to senior, the girls in my troop and myself became closer and closer as time went on. We went a camping trips, did cookie booths, and spent an over night trip at a girl scout house which began to bond us a lot closer than we ever had been before. Girl Scouts really helped me break out of my very small and anxious shell as a child. One of my loves in life right now is being Co- Editor In Chief of my school's yearbook staff with my best friend. I get to do some of my favorite things in that class: writing, taking pictures, editing, managing tasks, and leading a group of people all working together towards such an important cause to us all (that moment of handing out the complete books to students at the end of the year really makes it all worth it). My future plans are to attend the University of La Verne (I was recently accepted to) where I will be double majoring in political science and journalism. I am also planning to run for one of the next open positions on my district's school board (Chino Valley Unified School District) and hope to attain it through my unique perspective as being the first member on it to have ever actually gone through the education system in which it works for (giving me insight into what actually needs to be changed, as well as supported). The ultimate job dream is to become a congress woman, but what my main plan at the moment is, is to become a political journalist, while still serving in my local government.  Lindsey's podcast website link and its social medias: website: https://www.podcastforyourpinkbrain.org/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thoughts_for_your_thoughts/ @thoughts_for_your_thoughts Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/teamofthoughts/?view_public_for=105645907460816 @teamofthoughts Twitter: https://twitter.com/teamofthoughts @teamofthoughts YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe8C0zqbj9G1ivyDh5wpvow?view_as=subscriber @ Thoughts for Your Thoughts Podcast Join our Facebook Community at Hearts of Gold Podcast https://www.facebook.com/groups/HeartsOfGoldPodcast/ Instagram @sherylmrobinson Please subscribe to Hearts of Gold on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/sherylmrobinson or on your favorite podcast app. Support future Hearts of Gold episodes at https://www.patreon.com/heartsofgold Video editing by https://www.offthewalter.com/  Walter's YouTube channel is  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt0wFZRVaOpUd_nXc_8-4yQ
