En este episodio conocerán a María Eugenia Barreto García, la vida la sorprendió con la terrible experiencia de vivir la muerte de su bebé semanas antes de nacer debido a una emergencia obstétrica, una ruptura uterina. Luego de ese suceso tan doloroso, María Eugenia y su esposo salvador recorrieron el camino del duelo gestacional, un camino solitario y difícil ya que este sigue siendo un tema tabú. Durante el proceso María Eugenia entendió que existe una enorme necesidad de informar y educar en esta área, que el equipo de salud necesita más herramientas para atender a las madres en duelo, a las familias que atraviesan este proceso tan difícil. Esto motivó a María Eugenia a formarse para así ayudar a otras madres que se encuentran en una situación similar. Hablamos sobre la creación de La maleta de Arturo, una fundación sin fines de lucro que apoya a pacientes pediátricos y residentes de Pediatría. Actualmente es la primera consultora de duelo Gestacional y neonatal de Venezuela. María Eugenia nos ratificó su compromiso en seguir ampliando su radio de acción y ayudando a más personas.
