I am grateful to have been given the opportunity by my father, Ken Pohlman to take over a great company that my father founded in 1975. I have always wanted to be a leader and owner of a great company, and I am grateful for this opportunity to build on my father’s legacy. My purpose in writing this book is to tell my story of transformation as a leader and why I am convinced that leaders need to look deeper within themselves and find their true self. Leading from the heart is the only way to lead. I have learned so much as a leader, both professionally and personally and I am grateful each and every day for the opportunity that has been given to me. I am especially grateful to my wife, Michele who has supported me through my career and the writing of this book to tell my story. As a person who has sought out how to be an effective leader, I have learned that being a great leader starts with you, the person reading this book right now. It is critical to own “you” and be the CEO of your heart. My goal is that people, no matter where they are in their career or at home can look within and live with a heart of gratitude each and every day. It is the only way to live.
