Ep 5. Finding Your Worth in God & NOT your relationships with Amanda Howard!

Welcome backkkk, girlfriend!!! Here’s Episode 5 and if you missed last week, I chatted with my childhood bestie's husband, Brandon, about his struggles as a veteran adapting to his family life. This week, I'm talking to Amanda Howard about finding your worth in God & NOT your relationships and there are SO many nuggets in here! In this episode: My childhood bestie, Amanda Howard, and I dig into how she was dealing with motherhood while Brandon was battling his own struggles. Amanda is a wife, mother of two, member of her church, Champion Christian Center, and she has a heart to serve. She has her masters in family & marriage counseling and specialized in treating those struggling with addiction. She now homeschools her children and spends her free time volunteering for her church. I know you'll fall in love with her sweet self while listening! We've been friends for 33 years and she always knows what to say when I need to hear it! She mentions how she stopped looking for her worth in Brandon and her other relationships and started to look to God for her worth and that has changed everything in her life. We also chatted about expectations and PHEW I feel like expectations is a whole podcast episode in itself, more to come on that! She hits the nail on the head by wrapping it up reminding us to not worry about other people's opinion, and to look to God first. Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." GAH--- just so good and I wish I could just spend forever with these two wonderful humans! They both are so easy to talk to and we get so many nuggets of the time we spend just chatting away together. If you know the Howards, you are blessed. Their testimony is incredible and the best part is, it's not done yet. I can't wait to see how the Lord continues to move in them, through them, and for them.
