Everett emphasizes that while the rift may have only affected 1962 and 2018 so far, it has the potential to destabilize more timelines, which could lead to catastrophic consequences across multiple realities. As Kennedy and Everett strategize, the narrative shifts to Brookhaven Lab in 2018, where Dr. Krauss and his team are losing control. The rift grows larger, feeding off the antimatter experiments, and its influence begins to manifest in bizarre and disturbing ways. The team is faced with strange anomalies: lab equipment malfunctioning, time dilating in unpredictable ways, and people briefly vanishing and reappearing.
