Episode Description
On today’s episode of The Healthy Perspective, Dr. Chris sits down with Ann Bennett!
Ann is a homesteading wife, homeschool mom of three, and a passionate advocate for real food. She and Dr. Chris dive into what it looks like to live a lifestyle that goes against the grain.
Ann shares her journey of growing up in the city following a conventionally "health-conscious" lifestyle, avoiding junk food and eating whole grains, but she never truly understood the power of nutrition and whole foods.
Her perspective shifted after discovering The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. This sparked a passion for nourishing herself and her family through real, whole foods. She learned that involving her kids in cooking, growing, and preparing their meals sparked curiosity and deeper conversations around why they eat the way they do.
Ann explains that understanding how food nourishes, or degrades, our bodies has empowered her and her children to make better choices. Mealtimes became a conversation, not a mandate.
She also shares simple, practical tips, like choosing single-ingredient, whole foods, can dramatically transform your and your family’s health.
