Last week I celebrated my birthday. I had to do the math to figure out how old I was because I don't ever think about it. That whole age is just a number thing. I am not going to lie, I cannot believe how old I am. I seriously don't know how that happened. Okay, so I do know, but I just don't get how life and the years have flown by. This year I was very intentional about having a different attitude about this day. I didn't want to carry the mantle of heaviness on my shoulders as I have done for years now. Instead, I tried to have open hands about it. My intention for sharing this episode today is to offer another option for navigating a season that makes you uncomfortable or scratches open an old wound.
