Having retired from the Department of Correction in 2013, he made a significant pivot to the realm of education.  Now serving as an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Chair of the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Ct., Dr. Lawrie's academic expertise is fueled by his extensive background in corrections.
