Summary
In this episode, I will take a look at the common ways horses and students get stuck and more importantly how to get unstuck! It’s normal that our progress sometimes comes rapidly and sometimes is slower. It’s even normal for it to plateau every now and then… but those plateaus can start to feel like ruts. That’s when it’s important to step back and re-evaluate how we can freshen things up and spark new progress. At the end of this episode, I will lead you through a process of picking a goal and getting motivated to do it.

Description: Come Ride With Me is a podcast dedicated to helping you find peace, joy, and success in your riding. We’ll do this through finding better communication and learning how to harmonize with our horse. I’m your host Anna Fox of Equus Enlightened. I founded EE to help horse lovers forge a deeper partnership with their horses by opening the lines of communication and creating trustful bonds. Twice a month, I’ll be taking you on a ride with me. You’ll go straight into my mind as I delve into the mind of the horse. You’ll learn to focus on your horse and the task at hand. You’ll learn how to say yes, more often than no and see how this leads to more progress. My narrated ride won’t be about any specific training techniques or problem solving. It will be geared to how I think through a ride and deal with challenges as they come up. My goal is to show you how you can make riding a pleasant, meditative experience where you and your horse are having a real conversation. You’ll be empowered to make changes that will make your rides even better. You’ll find harmony with your horse and lots of joy while making progress toward whatever goals you might have. We’ll be keeping it super simple and focused on communication instead of specific training techniques. So, let’s get riding!
