EP18 Another Take on Vampires: NBH {Part 1}

from Mental Magic · host Christina Fennell

*Trigger Warning!* If you are currently in an active abusive relationship, where you are the one being abused or you are the one doing the abusing, this episode is NOT targeted towards you. We will make this very clear in future episodes in this series; however, we failed to mention it in this one, so please listen with caution and DO NOT rationalize staying in an actively abusive situation with the hopes of any kind of awakening that could improve the situation. Please focus on finding safety (both externally and internally) before venturing into doing this level of shadow work with the more dangerously fragile aspects of our collective consciousness.  This is the first episode in a series on Nightmare Human Beings (NHB) where we give our take, our opinion on what it has been like having experiences with humans who are more or less vampiric in the way that they engage with others, as well as the aspects of ourselves that show up as nightmarish in the realities of those around us. Rather than automatically exiling our shadow selves as irredeemably evil, we hope to offer some nuance, some grace, and a wellspring of compassion for the ways that we have been wounded and how our wounding affects the way that we play with others on the human landscape of reality. Know that you are never required to endure pain, suffering, or trauma at the hands of anyone outside of you; however, in our perspective, it is likely that the torture that we endure externally is a desperate call from inside of the house, willing our consciousness to awaken to the hauntings that are plaguing our own systems. So please "enjoy" this offering of light in a space that can feel impossibly dark.
