In the world of computer software, we design code based on what we call ‘tight’ or ‘loose’ coupling. Tightly coupled systems make assumptions about what they connect to – that they are stable and predictable. Loosely coupled systems better account for flexibility and change. However when I look at the world today, I see the 21^st century is the result of humans building ONLY tightly coupled systems. In this episode, I’m going to deep dive what this means and why it leads to this boom & bust world that we are all being subjected to.
